About This Game "The Experiment" is a multiplayer escape room puzzle game for virtual reality or desktop PC! Very good and realistic game 100% would recommend!. I've played a bunch of games by OnSkull now and I really enjoy them. I always play with a friend and they're super enjoyable. We get stuck a lot but always just about manage to work it out. Although I've never played this on VR I have a feeling that playform would work really well games like these. When I saw this new one coming out I was genuinely excited. We've only done one playthrough so far and we didn't solve it but we're looking forward to giving it another go.I just hope more of these types of games come out and that OnSkull continue to make them and improve upon them.. Good game but needs more levels. This game is just so great. The ability to not pass levels is just great. I also love the game being just a loading screen.. 6.5/10The real experiment that I seem to be involved in is OnSkull's experiment with business models. In the first game (Tales of Escape), the first level is free but subsequent levels must be purchased as DLC (there are three currently available). In the second game (Escape First), all levels are available upon purchase but the rooms (and title of the game) seem to be geared more towards competitive play. In this most recent outing, players only receive a single room but there appears to be more attention paid to telling a story. I must admit to feeling curiosity myself at which of these games has seen the most players on Steam. The developer claims to be developing more rooms all the time, but I'm unsure as to whether these will be released as free additions or DLCs to existing games, or separate titles altogether.If you've played a previous OnSkull escape room game, then The Experiment should be familiar. The game includes carefully crafted environments that force you to pay attention (including some red herrings) and many four-digit codes. I felt satisfied with what I paid and the experience I received, in contrast to Escape First.Although this escape room game seems to be marketed as one in which players uncover the experiments of whatever doctor locked you in, I can't say I was really able to piece together anything coherent, story-wise. However, I can tell you that this doctor is really into sharks. It would be interesting if players periodically found lore notes within containers in the level (cabinets, etc.). For this game, perhaps the player could find files pertaining to the "experiments." The other issues that I had were the game's repetition of the same clue over and over again (something like "use the key on the bed to unlock the door"), and a somewhat obtuse puzzle solution. Suffice it to say that if you're in a room with cleaning supplies, you may need to do some cleaning.If you enjoy playing cooperative escape rooms with friends, I think you'll definitely find something to like here. The puzzles are satisfying and the presentation is classy.. I've enjoyed all the onSkull escape rooms in desktop mode so far. Was seriously disappointed in this one having the hints not working in desktop mode. You'd think it would be an easy fix for the developers. Sad they would leave it like that.. A challanging yet rewarding experience. This game will be great training for the Ryyhargon troops for when the invasion of Earth begins.
